Baseball Recap: Haltom Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

While Haltom didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They never let the North Dallas Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Buffalos, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Haltom saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Shipp, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Ethan Salinas was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Haltom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Haltom is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. North Dallas is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Haltom didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-4 loss against Godley on the 7th. As for North Dallas, they will head out to face off against Carter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
