Twin Rivers had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bloomfield Wildcats an 18-0 shutout on Friday. The Royals not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21, 2024.
Alexis Parson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Parson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Katie Acre was incredible, firing off two home runs, eight RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ivy Benson, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
