The Trinity Christian Gryphons will venture away from home to square off against the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trinity Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Peninsula Catholic 7-0. The victory continues a trend for the Gryphons in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Brody Frank was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Gardner, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Philip Long, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Trinity Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peninsula Catholic only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Norfolk Christian beat North Cross 5-1 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ambassadors.
Colby Payne spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Oliver Anderson and Ryan Lengkeek did most of the damage at the plate: Anderson went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple, while Lengkeek scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Coleman Winstead also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Norfolk Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Trinity Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trinity Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Norfolk Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
