The Warner Christian Academy Eagles fought the good fight in their overtime  game against the Taylor Wildcats  on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell  64-57 to the Wildcats. Warner Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  on January 4th.
 Despite the loss, Warner Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from   Ashton Flores, who  dropped  a double-double on 25 points and 12  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Flores has scored all season.  Christian Nicholas was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds.
 Leading Taylor to victory were  James Thomas and  Zachery McKinnon.  Thomas  scored 18 points, while  McKinnon  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and 11  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Dylan Jackson, who  scored six points along with two  steals.
 Warner Christian Academy dropped their record down to 8-11 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road. As for Taylor, their win  ended a five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 7-12.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing Calvary Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Taylor will  host Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Warner Christian Academy will head out to face them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
