The Pewitt Brahmas's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took down Clarksville 53-39. The win was just what Pewitt needed coming off of a 59-32 loss in their prior game.
Pewitt was led to victory by Wesley Smith and Cedric Johnson. Smith scored 16 points along with four steals, while Johnson scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Keidrick Hawkins, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Pewitt's win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-12. As for Clarksville, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pewitt will take on New Boston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarksville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Lamar at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
