Palmer have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Mohawk Trail Regional on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Palmer don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Not only did Palmer outplay Smith Vocational/Smith Academy two weeks ago, but the squad kept Smith Vocational/Smith Academy off the scoreboard altogether. Palmer were the clear victor by a 27-0 margin over Smith Vocational/Smith Academy. Palmer were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Mohawk Trail Regional, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-29 walloping at Ware's hands.
Palmer took their game against Mohawk Trail Regional the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 36-8 score.
