Ogilvie has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Ogilvie Lions and the North Woods grizzlies will round out the year against one another at TBD on Wednesday at. Ogilvie knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully North Woods likes a good challenge.
Even though Upsala scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Ogilvie still came out on top. Ogilvie secured a 63-59 W over Upsala.
Meanwhile, even though Moose Lake/Willow River scored an imposing 58 points last Thursday, North Woods still came out on top. North Woods came out on top in a nail-biter against Moose Lake/Willow River and snuck past 60-58.
Ogilvie pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for North Woods, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Ogilvie was able to grind out a solid win over North Woods when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 91-84. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ogilvie since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
