The Bradshaw Mountain Bears will take on the Prescott Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Bradshaw Mountain beats Prescott with 13 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Bradshaw Mountain beat Poston Butte on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.
Dylan Lockwood was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caden Randall, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Ty Young was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Bradshaw Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive games.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Prescott and Coconino had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Prescott blew past Coconino 15-3 on Thursday. The Badgers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Like Bradshaw Mountain, Prescott also got a great game from a two-way player: Travis Gates. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Gates was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Lucas Tobin was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Colton Champion, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Prescott's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bradshaw Mountain has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. However, it's not like Prescott struggles in that department as they've averaged .526. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Bradshaw Mountain's way against Prescott when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Bradshaw Mountain made off with a 9-3 win. Does Bradshaw Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Prescott turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
