Westminster waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Lovett Lions with a sharp 65-43 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cameron Cannon, who posted 14 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landyn Murphy, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points and four steals.
Westminster pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Lovett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster will welcome Kell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
