The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 12 games by nine runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Jenna Jump's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luciana Debois, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Mills, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Port Byron has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.
