Even though the Hartford Central Tanagers have not done well against the Warrensburg Burgers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Hartford Central managed a 52-47 win over Warrensburg. Winning may never get old, but Hartford Central sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Hartford Central to victory were Mckenzie Johnson and Alawnah Dunda. Johnson scored 18 points along with six rebounds, while Dunda dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Raeghan Liebig was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
Hartford Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Warrensburg, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3.
Hartford Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Corinth at 5:00 p.m. on February 10th. Corinth will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Hartford Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Warrensburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hadley Luzerne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
