Sudan waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Petersburg Buffaloes 13-1. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by 12 runs or more this season.

Cal Carter made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Julian Salas was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Caleb Groetken, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Sudan's record now sits at 10-5. As for Petersburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sudan will venture away from home to square off against Nazareth at 12:00 p.m. on March 22nd. As for Petersburg, they will head out on the road to take on Abernathy at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
