Monticello had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Watson Chapel on Friday. The Billies put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 16-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Billies, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Watson Chapel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
