Kennedy posted their biggest win since November 21, 2023 on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Envision Academy with a sharp 56-36 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kennedy.
Kennedy can attribute much of their success to Tyler Martin, who scored 16 points, and Marvin Singleton, who scored 18 points. Jayson Scarbrough was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Bethel unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Benicia. While losing is never fun, Bethel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Benicia is ranked 116th).
Kennedy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-14 record this season. As for Bethel, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
