Washington was outmatched by Uniontown on the road and fell 97-40. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Washington in their matchups with Uniontown: they've now lost three in a row.
Leading Uniontown to victory were Calvin Winfrey and Tori Grooms. Winfrey scored 22 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists, while Grooms went 7 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 6 assists. Jamire Braxton was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Uniontown, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
