Softball Recap: Murray Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Murray, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cottonwood Colts on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 12 runs or more this season.

Eleanor Myers was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Danica Spencer, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles.

Murray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cottonwood only posted an OBP of .250.

Murray now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Cottonwood, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Murray nor the Colts have any future games scheduled.
