North Bullitt hasn't had much luck against Male recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will welcome the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. North Bullitt will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Monday, North Bullitt got the win against Collins by a conclusive 17-7.
Amree Hammons made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Ferguson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaigen Kamber, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
North Bullitt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .679. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Male faced Anderson County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 6-5. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Josslyn Woosley was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Woosley was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Kaylee Brooks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Lily Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Male's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for North Bullitt, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
