The Fox Creek Predators will head out to square off against the Williston-Elko Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fox Creek has four straight wins, Williston-Elko has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Fox Creek didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Josey 40-6 on Saturday. Given the Predators' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 154th in South Carolina, while the Eagles are ranked 453rd in Georgia) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fox Creek relied on the efforts of Bryson Crawford, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of scores, and Nate Owens, who rushed for 87 yards on only nine carries. Crawford is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Brandon Wallace made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fox Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Fox Creek's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Noah Gaines and Kamal Grant, who racked up four sacks between them. Wallace got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Williston-Elko managed to keep up with Eau Claire until halftime two weeks ago, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Blue Devils were beaten by the Shamrocks 34-7.
Fox Creek's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Williston-Elko, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Everything came up roses for Fox Creek against Williston-Elko in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Predators since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
