It was a proper cat-fight when Dadeville faced off against Beulah on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 14-13.
Colin Pearson led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Davis McKelvey was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Benjamin Russell typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Lee-Scott Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Wildcats 12-4. Considering the Warriors have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Myles Rogers tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lee-Scott Academy got a big performance out of Harrison Snow, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Snow a new career-high. Jack Fuqua also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Lee-Scott Academy moved to 17-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Dadeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.
Dadeville came up short against Lee-Scott Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, falling 10-5. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
