The Jackson Memorial Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Piscataway Chiefs at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Jackson Memorial and six for Piscataway.
Last Wednesday, Jackson Memorial came up short against Rumson-Fair Haven and fell 51-41. While losing is never fun, Jackson Memorial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Rumson-Fair Haven is ranked 24th).
Piscataway suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-30 walloping at the hands of Wayne Valley.
Jackson Memorial now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Piscataway, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-8.
Jackson Memorial beat Piscataway 59-51 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Will Jackson Memorial repeat their success, or does Piscataway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
