While Perryton's win against Guymon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rangers skirted past the Tigers 3-2. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Perryton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-19, 15-11.

Perryton's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Guymon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Perryton will venture away from home to take on Shamrock at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Guymon, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southwestern Heights at 4:30 p.m. on September 4.
