The Littlestown Thunderbolts will head out on the road to face off against the Bermudian Springs Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Littlestown comes in on four and Bermudian Springs on six.
Littlestown put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Biglerville at home to the tune of 49-14. That's two games straight that Littlestown has won by exactly 35 points.
Meanwhile, Bermudian Springs never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat York County Tech 35-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Bermudian Springs, who have now won five matches by 30 points or more so far this season.
Bermudian Springs can attribute much of their success to Jack Gautsch, who picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 54 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Tyson Carpenter made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Littlestown's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points per game. As for Bermudian Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Littlestown strolled past Bermudian Springs when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 21-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Littlestown since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
