The Houston Hawks had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 32-25 victory over Glennallen. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Houston also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.
When it comes to explaining why Glennallen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cheyenne Fields. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points.
Houston's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Glennallen, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Houston will head out on the road to face off against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Non Varsity Tournament Opponent is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Glennallen won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Kodiak at 3:00 p.m. on December 15th.
