With a playoff game on the line, the Pine Crest Panthers rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They secured a 58-54 W over the Chargers. The win was nothing new for Pine Crest as they're now sitting on three straight.
Pine Crest was led to victory by Rowan Hoffman and Dylan Wigoda. Hoffman scored 14 points, while Wigoda scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Teich, who scored eight points.
When it comes to explaining why North Miami Beach lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaycob Joseph. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 38.9% of North Miami Beach's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Joseph, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Pine Crest's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for North Miami Beach, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
Pine Crest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 81-43 defeat vs. Mater Lakes Academy on the 8th. North Miami Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
