Cremeen wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Noxapater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Nanih Waiya came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Warriors have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Addison Price made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emmalena Cotton, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adalynn Snow, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one triple.
Nanih Waiya pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.6 runs over those games. As for Noxapater, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Noxapater has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. However, it's not like Nanih Waiya struggles in that department as they've averaged .546. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
