  Lexi Groenendijk made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   four  hits. Groenendijk was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news, Cypress Bay got a  massive  performance out of  Teresa Foschia, who  went 4-for-5 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and a  stolen base.  Elizabeth Gabante was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4.
 The  win (which was Cypress Bay's ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-6. As for Taravella, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost five of their last six matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cypress Bay will take on South Broward at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Taravella, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Lauderdale at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Fort Lauderdale is coming into the  game with three straight  victories on the road,  so Taravella will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
