The Northview Academy Cougars won the last time they faced the Cocke County Fighting Cocks, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Northview Academy walked away with a 58-50 win over the Fighting Cocks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Northview Academy.
Despite the loss, Cocke County still got an impressive performance from Kyler Hayes, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Will Sutton, who scored eight points.
Even though they lost, Cocke County were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. This was only their 13th loss (out of 21 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Northview Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Cocke County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Northview Academy will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cocke County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hurricanes at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
