Hoosick Falls added to the longest winning streak in Section 2 C - North this week by beating Fonda-Fultonville, 36-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Hoosick Falls moved up to 59 from 104 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Ron Jones' team was able to move up by besting the Braves 36-0.
The Panthers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Garrett Wright threw for 186 and 2 touchdowns and Austin Pitt had 66 yards receiving. On the ground Mike Matatt contributed 125 yards. Levi Brewster helped Hoosick Falls' passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 67 yards.
He went 12-22 with 1 interception.
Wright put up the best numbers in passing as Hoosick Falls bested Fonda-Fultonville. Wright's favorite target this week was Pitt, who caught 3 passes for 66 yards.
Hoosick Falls' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wright has thrown for 1,114 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Brewster has 25 catches for 396 yards.
The Panthers' Brandon Hodges is a mere 93 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Hodges has rushed for 907 yards on 115 carries so far this year.
Corinth fell to the Panthers 54-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
