The Nanih Waiya Warriors waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against McAdams by a score of 51-44. Given Nanih Waiya's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while McAdams is ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nyshea Hoskin was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Nanih Waiya's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexzandria Eiland, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and eight steals.
Nanih Waiya pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for McAdams, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.
Nanih Waiya will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Velma Jackson at 6:00 p.m. As for McAdams, they will head out on the road to square off against Noxapater at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Noxapater is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
