Softball Recap: Bartlett's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Bartlett came out on top against Metea Valley on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Hawks put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 13-3 win. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.

With the victory, Bartlett broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-12. As for Metea Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bartlett will venture away from home to take on Conant at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Metea Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Plainfield Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
