It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hughson Huskies can now relate to. They fell 31-21 to the Chieftains on Saturday. Hughson's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Hughson's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alexander Villarreal, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Villarreal has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Robert Mcdaniel was another key contributor, throwing for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
Hughson's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Palma, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Hughson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Palma also has no future games currently scheduled.
