Piedmont Community Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 92-35 win over Apprentice Academy at home. Piedmont Community Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Piedmont Community Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was TJ Biggers out in front who scored ten points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Biggers grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Bobby Erwin, who scored ten points.
Carolina International was handed a two-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Queen's Grant on Friday. Carolina International simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Queen's Grant 79-50 at home. With Carolina International ahead 43-22 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Carolina International's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kendall Salter, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Landon Griffin, who scored 16 points along with five assists and three steals. That's the first time this season that Salter scored 15 or more points. Rodney Fullenwider Jr. was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Piedmont Community Charter pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Carolina International, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
