Jefferson County dropped down to 11-6 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 8-2 to the Oak Ridge Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since April 5, 2025.
As for Oak Ridge, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Considering they have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
For Oak Ridge's part, Jaiden Cheverton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cheverton has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
In other pitching news, Jackson Guerry looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

That's the most stolen bases Player #24 has posted over his last 11 matchups. Warren East was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Jefferson County has already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against William Blount on the 23rd. As for Oak Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 win against Providence Academy on the 21st.
