Madison and Old Orchard Beach squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Madison had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Seagulls by a score of 7-6. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Madison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaeson Almeida, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another was Landon Dunham, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Old Orchard Beach, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

As of now, neither Madison nor the Seagulls have any future games scheduled.
