The Springboro Panthers will take on the Badin Rams at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Springboro is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Springboro had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Centerville on Friday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Elks with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Nick Hutchinson was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Drew Davis was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Springboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Badin beat La Salle 7-2 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won three in a row.
Badin also got a great performance from Max Kraemer as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Kraemer has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chandler Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Cooper Ollis, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Badin's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Springboro, their record is now 15-7.
Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Springboro has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. However, it's not like Badin struggles in that department as they've averaged .454. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Springboro skirted past Badin 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
