The Terrell Academy Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 34-14 walloping at the hands of Tiftarea Academy. Terrell Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tiftarea Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Terrell Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Quindon Wright. Despite the final result, he picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Tiftarea Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from John Robert Walker, who threw for 187 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Kaiden Richardson was another key contributor, rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Terrell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Tiftarea Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7-1.
Terrell Academy will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Frederica Academy at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. As for Tiftarea Academy, they will face off against St. Andrew's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Andrew's is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
