Basketball Recap: Amador Valley Has No Trouble Against Edison

Amador Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Edison on Saturday. The Amador Valley Dons strolled past the Edison Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 67-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dons.

Edison lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alonzo Ward, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and four steals. Ward has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Mekhi Jefferson, who posted eight points and 14 rebounds.

Amador Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Amador Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-42 win against El Capitan on the 30th. As for Edison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-40 victory against Turlock on the 30th.
