On Saturday, Morristown was able to grind out a solid victory over Edinburgh, taking the game 52-41. The victory was just what Morristown needed coming off of a 60-31 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for DDanika Rutledge, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Jayla Keithley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Greenwood Christian Academy's six-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Colonial Christian 63-28 at home. With Greenwood Christian Academy ahead 41-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Morristown's record is now 7-12. Greenwood Christian Academy's record is now 5-13.
Everything came up roses for Morristown against Greenwood Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 47-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morristown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
