The Roby Lions lost against the Paducah Dragons back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Roby received a tough blow as they fell 67-48 to Paducah. Roby has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jakyen Wright was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds for Paducah. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Wright has scored at least 25% of Paducah's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverick Monroe, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Roby's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for Paducah, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roby will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rule at 12:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Paducah will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Patton Springs at 8:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
