The Boyertown Bears were the 56-42 winner over the Norristown Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Boyertown ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-43 walloping at the hands of Norristown on Friday. Boyertown just can't catch a break and has now endured six defeats in a row.
Despite the defeat, Boyertown had strong showings from Jack Greaves, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, and Trey Kern, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Boyertown has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Norristown, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boyertown will challenge Upper Perkiomen at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Upper Perkiomen is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Norristown, they will head out on the road to face off against Upper Merion Area at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Upper Merion Area knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Norristown likes a good challenge.
