Harvey took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jefferson Area. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harvey in their matchups with Jefferson Area: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Harvey lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braylon Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Neiman Booker, who scored 11 points.
Harvey now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Jefferson Area, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Harvey will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Madison at 2:30 p.m. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Jefferson Area, they will head out on the road to take on Geneva at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Geneva is coming into the game with seven straight defeats at home, meaning Jefferson Area will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
