Pikesville fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Chesapeake on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 67-66 to the Chesapeake Bay Hawks. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Chesapeake was led to victory by Jorden Williams and Lavar Ragin. Williams went 9 for 13 en route to 24 points and five rebounds, while Ragin almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Oreon Rhodes, who posted five points and four steals.

Pikesville dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Chesapeake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pikesville will welcome Eastern Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chesapeake, they will host Catonsville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
