Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Southwest Wake couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks who were credited with the win on Friday. The Forsyth Home Educators Hawks got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Southwest Wake Wolves' three. Southwest Wake's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Southwest Wake's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
