The Trinity Christian Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight loss. They fell 49-40 to Ursuline Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity Christian in their matchups with the Bears: they've now lost seven in a row.
Ursuline Academy was led to victory by Molly Davis and Madelyne Davis. Davis scored nine points along with three steals, while Davis scored ten points along with five assists and three steals. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Izzy Schroeder, who scored eight points.
Trinity Christian's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Ursuline Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Prestonwood Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Trojans in Texas (the Lions are ranked 102nd, while the Trojans are ranked 989th). As for Ursuline Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
