After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Medford, Willamette was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Grants Pass Cavemen 7-6. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wolverines as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Jadynn Ireland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits.
