Tolland extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 3-0 in the process. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Maloney Spartans 4-2. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 10-4 win the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

As for Maloney, they now have a losing record of 1-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Maloney's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliviah Garcia-Matyka, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Alaina High-Aresco was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Tolland has already played their next contest (against Middletown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Maloney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 18-0 defeat against Edwin O. Smith on the 16th.
