The Christopher Cougars are on the road again on Friday and play against the Soquel Knights at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. The last three games Christopher has played have been within five points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Menlo School typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday Christopher proved too difficult a challenge. Christopher managed a 21-17 victory over Menlo School. That's two games straight that Christopher has won by exactly four points.
Christopher's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Amari Bluford, who picked up 198 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Jaxen Robinson, who threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Bluford's longest reception was for an incredible 79 yards.
Meanwhile, Soquel came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let Monterey onto the board and left with a 22-0 victory. Soquel might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 21 points or more this season.
Justice Grauel tebong was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Soquel also got a significant boost from Tyreis Lundy, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 97 yards.
Christopher has yet to lose a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.9 points per game. As for Soquel, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
