Weston and New Fairfield are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Trojans will head out to face off against the Rebels at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but New Fairfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past New Milford 8-6. The Rebels' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Nicolas Martini made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and two runs. He has become a key player for New Fairfield: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Andrew Dossena was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those runs were his first of the season. Josiah Saladyga was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one run and one double.
