Clyde suffered a tough 56-31 defeat at the hands of Margaretta. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clyde in their matchups with Margaretta: they've now lost six in a row.
Clyde's loss came despite strong showings from Katie Shiets and Tatum Jeffrey. Shiets scored 12 points along with 4 steals, while Jeffrey scored 8 points. Shiets scored a full 38.7% of Clyde's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Clyde's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Margaretta, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Clyde will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. Bellevue presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clyde in Ohio (Bellevue is ranked 73rd, while Clyde is ranked 216th). As for Margaretta, they will head out on the road to face off against Port Clinton at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
