Barnstable won the last time they faced Brockton and things went their way on Friday too. The Red Hawks strolled past the Boxers with points to spare, taking the game 33-15.

Brockton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarred Mighty 26 Ath, who picked up 152 receiving yards and two scores. Mighty 26 Ath also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles and defending one pass. Another signal caller making a difference was Marcio Semdeo, who threw for 175 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Barnstable's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Brockton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barnstable will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Amherst-Pelham Regional at 1:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Brockton, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Franklin at 6:00 p.m.
